I have many years experience working in paediatrics and am a mum of two young children. I graduated from the West London Institute of  Higher Education in 1994 and have predominantly specialised in paediatrics, which is my passion. I love working with children, families and schools, making the most of their potential with close inter-disciplinary team working. 

I believe that the child and family's goals should be the centre of any intervention and to have the most benefit good liaison with the team working with the child is essential, including close links with school.  I work closely with my physiotherapy and speech and language therapy colleagues when appropriate.

I started my paediatric career working in the community, firstly in East London and then Harrow, seeing children in mainstream and special schools with a wide range of difficulties.   Great Ormond Street Hospital was my next place of work, where I gained great experience working within the paediatric rheumatology team, seeing children with arthritis and chronic pain.  I continued working with children with arthritis and chronic pain when I moved to Newcastle with the speciality team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and also seen children on the wards, including children with cancer.  More recently I have worked in the community team within Oxfordshire's children's services, working with families and schools, promoting children's independence and their ability to partake in the school curriculum.
